Kelly Walker

Kelly is a native of New Hampshire who grew up in Nashua and now lives in Hollis. She discovered Beaver Brook 21 years ago and has been connected to it ever since—hiking every trail, taking a wide variety of classes, and volunteering whenever she could. This year, she celebrates her 10th anniversary working in the Beaver Brook office, where she currently serves as Office Assistant and Summer Camp Coordinator.

With a BS in Accounting and graduate courses in Early Childhood Education, Kelly is excited to follow her lifelong dream of becoming a teacher. When she’s not at Beaver Brook, you’ll likely find her out walking, hiking, cooking something delicious, practicing yoga, or enjoying a good book.  She can’t wait to help young children discover the magic of nature and grow their appreciation for the world around them.

I am an environmental education enthusiast committed to helping people connect with the natural world in meaningful, accessible ways. I love going to the beach, surfing, and just being outdoors.

Alison Bedino she/her

I have always loved kids, I had a child-based conservation group when my children were little, and even though I didn't realize that was environmental education, I realize that I have been an environmental educator a lot longer than my hire date.

I am a single mother who was a stay at home parent for over 10 years. I have always loved being outside and being around children. So finding a job where I can do both is a dream come true! After being hired while on a field trip with my daughter at Agape, I have dedicated every spare minute of my time learning everything I can about the North Carolina ecosystem and the best way to teach others about how amazing this planet is!

I had no idea that this fun job could become a career, but here I am, 6 years later, certitfied outdoor educator, working for Agape and Raleigh Parks ,teaching kids ( and their chaperones) how cool bugs are! How amazing birds are! How perfectly everything fits together and how lucky we are to be a part of it!

There is no better feeling than seeing a child hold a snake for the first time, or having a teenager who doesn't want to be there get all excited about catching a fishing spider. It fills my heart being able to share my passion with others.
