Stacey has 20 years of experience in outdoor education, program management, and community partnership development across Colorado and the Northwest. She is also an ACE-Certified Health Coach and serves as a Subject Matter Expert for the American Council on Exercise (ACE).
My passion for education and my love for the outdoors drew me into the world of environmental education. I have almost twenty years of experience working in various educational roles. My background in history gives me a unique perspective on the impact humans have had on the the natural world over time. I currently work with Muddy Sneakers, which is a non-profit that provides standards based science instruction to students in an outdoor setting.
I am a research scientist turned NC Public School Teacher turned Environmental educator with over 40 years of experience in the environmental education field. This has always been my passion and my self-care rolled into one.
Working as a behavioral health technician has shown me the benefits of nature and healing. With a wide variety of professional education I feel comfortable guiding people through nature while explaining our need for connection with the natural world.
Hi! I’m Jammica, nice to meet’cha! I’m a proud Norfolk resident, Urban Ag advocate and Environmental Steward. I’m passionate about our planet and have worked in the “green” field for about 10 years as a Regional Environmental Outreach & Education Coordinator, an Environmental Marketing Rep as well as an enthusiastic volunteer. I currently work for Keep Norfolk Beautiful. I'm a member of the Norfolk Food Policy Council, a FEAST VA facilitator, a K.U.S.P volunteer, and I'm on the board of directors at The Fred Heutte Center in Norfolk, VA. I'm also a Master Gardener Volunteer with the Virginia Cooperative Extension program and I help work on projects with the non profit Support & Feed organization. I enjoy healthy eating, gardening, learning about innovative environmental and agricultural techniques and educating kids about the environment while opening their eyes to the immense opportunities awaiting them in the agricultural career space. It is also my absolute purpose and promise to help make Norfolk Virginia THE greenest city on the East Coast.
As a passionate conservationist and educator with years of experience, I have worked in varying aspects of conservation ranging from Environmental Permitting for the private sector to Conservation Research on South Africa's fauna.
Carla Gull is the coordinator of the masters of art of environmental education program and associate professor at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College in northern Indiana. She has over 20 years of experience in the education field at the preschool, elementary, and college levels. Dr. Gull enjoys helping educators incorporate more nature in the everyday early childhood setting. She hosts a podcast, Loose Parts Nature Play; facilitates an international group, Loose Parts Play; and presents workshops, presentations, and academic research around loose parts, tree climbing, STEM outdoor classrooms, and nature education. She is coauthor of the book, Loose Parts Learning in K-3 Classrooms.
