I have a background in nonprofit management and expedition based environmental education with a Masters in EE from Western Washington University. I have a joint passion for both getting kids out and into the backcountry AND showing kids the nature in their backyards no matter where that is.

I am the founder and director of Juniper Hill School for Place-Based Education. I have taught both early childhood and elementary grades in both public and independent schools and been an educational leader for several non-profit organizations. I am a naturalist, motivational speaker, and dancer.
